Green Door Gallery is a member of the Livingston Gallery Association with Art Walks held on the fourth Friday of each month, June through September. In addition to art walks, Green Door Gallery holds year-round art exhibit openings and events throughout the year such as Art on Tap during Craft Beer Week in May and the Holiday Stroll in December. This year’s Stroll takes place on Friday, December 1st from 5:30pm – 8pm. We will be celebrating our 5 year birthday for Wheatgrass Saloon which first opened its doors December 1st, 2012 with an art exhibit of Jim Barrett’s paintings.
Current Exhibit: Dangerous: A Mural Arts Competition. “There is nothing more dangerous than someone who wants to make the world a better place.” ~ Bansky
Fourteen artists submitted 21 mural art pieces with a message geared toward raising our political consciousness with the hopes of making our world a better place. The winning piece will be painted on the side of the building at 120 North Main Street. Upcoming Exhibit: Livingston to Anchorage: Scenes from the AlCan Highway Artist Angie Frokes’ 6000-mile journey from Livingston to Anchorage and back is chronicled through paintings, pottery and soft sculpture. This show captures the varied experiences of a three-week adventure in British Columbia, the Yukon and Alaska with images of wildlife, Native culture, landscape and a golden retriever named Murphy.
